16-year-old Jerrith Baird searched for his 58 year old Grandma via kayak the day after Ike and found nothing but a few of the pilings that held up her house and submerged vehicles of his friends.
Mike Anderson was washed 14 miles inland with heaps of debris, an ordeal that lasted 36 hours.
The current count of those missing is over 400. Many are listed here.
